Feeling Lonely? You’re not alone.

Missed our recent live event ‘Feeling Lonely? You're not alone.'? Fear not, you can catch up on it here. We were joined by two brilliant women and experts in their field: My Menopause Centre’s Dr Clare Spencer and Sue Makin, a highly qualified and experienced counsellor and sex therapist with over 27 years’ experience in the area.

In a wide-ranging conversation we discussed …

  • How loneliness impacts our mental health
  • How menopause symptoms can impact or exacerbate feelings of chronic loneliness or isolation
  • The importance of talking
  • Tips and advice to help you start those conversations – from partners, children, friends and work to your GP – and take your first steps to rebuilding those connections

We’ve included the key links that were shared in the chat and/or recommended below and we hope you find them useful. The 1-page ‘Menopause at a Glance’ is a really handy way of explaining what the menopause is and the symptoms you’re experiencing  (the survey recommended by Sue on how to find your love language is also really interesting!).
