Dr Clare Spencer

Dr Clare Spencer

Co-founder, My Menopause Centre and Registered Menopause Specialist and GP

MA MB BChir (Cantab) DM MRCOG MRCGP

Dr Clare is a registered menopause specialist and an NHS GP. She qualified from Cambridge University and holds Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She initially trained in obstetrics and gynaecology where gained a Doctor of Medicine for research in fetomaternal medicine.

As well as her role of Clinical Director at My Menopause Centre, she currently runs an NHS menopause service and is a GP partner in a practice in Leeds. She is also a British Menopause Society menopause trainer and is involved in educating GPs about the menopause transition through talks, lectures and seminars. Dr Spencer has written menopause training modules and pathways for doctors.net, the Primary Care Women’s Health forum publication, Her Life Her Health, and the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust.

CEO of Menopause in the Workplace

Deborah Garlick is the CEO of Menopause in the Workplace Ltd and author of the book ‘Menopause: the change for the better’. Her Menopause in the Workplace team support employers to achieve Menopause Friendly Accreditation via the Independent Panel - providing members with workshops, resources and guidance to make it easy employers. She organised the UK’s first Menopause in the Workplace conference over 5 years ago and her team have supported thousands of employers since, including many of the leading employers recognised for demonstrating best practice.

Kate Hesk

Founder of Cognomie

Kate Hesk is a Co-Founder, Chief People Officer and Head of Coaching at Cognomie. Kate is also the organisation’s subject matter expert on Mental Fitness (psychological and emotional wellbeing). Cognomie has a vision to bring Mental Fitness development to people, wherever they are, around the world. Kate and her co-founders opened Cognomie in 2019 and since that time have built a diverse community of over 100 active coaches globally, supporting client organisations in the public, private and non for profit sectors. The world is facing a Mental Fitness emergency and through proactive coaching Cognomie believe we can create a shift to enable people to have more insight and feel empowered to make changes to be able to lead a better life – this includes supporting women and their managers, partners, colleagues and friends through the menopause.

Helen Normoyle

Helen Normoyle

Co-founder, My Menopause Centre

Helen Normoyle, a self-described women’s wellness champion, is on a mission to raise awareness of the menopause and help empower women with the knowledge they need to embrace this new chapter and thrive. Helen is particularly passionate about supporting women in the workplace and helping employers understand the benefits of having a positive menopause policy.

Prior to co-founding My Menopause Centre with Dr Clare Spencer, she held Chief Marketing Officer roles across the healthcare, beauty, broadcast, furniture and property sectors with Boots, the BBC, DFS and Countrywide respectively.
